Four things I look for in fictional guys:
-Badassery(...When it comes to reality, you can scratch off those last two for obvious reasons, and add on brains.)
Tommy Shepherd has all of the above, and is definetly my favorite Young Avenger. He's like a mini Quicksilver!
Billy is of course my second.
Funny story, -well, not really, but I just feel like starting off my little flashback with that- when I started reading the Young Avengers, I was really not a fan, but kept reading because I liked Wiccan and Hulkling, and their agnst-free relationship; it was an extremely nice change to see. But by the time the Super Skrull showed up, I realized I didn't hate it anymore... And boy, when when they broke Speed outta jail... Yeah, I decided I loved it. And now, here I am, a huge fangirl. My favorite (so far) is the Young Avengers Presents: Hawkeye, because it has CLINT EFFING BARTON and
Tommy featured. (Oh, and Kate too of course, but she really isn't much sitting on the same page as CLINT EFFING BARTON.)
..Yes, all-caps is necessary.
Wow, I am getting WAY off topic here. Anyway. Fan art. Speed and Wiccan. Yeah, I love capes. They are like, the funnest things to draw and colour ever, and we all know only badasses wear capes (exibit A: Billy Kaplan.)
funnest part of this was drawing them looking the same, but different, if that makes any sense.
--Also, Speed was originally drawn with orange goggles, but in the Children's Crusade, they're white-rimmed. I went with orange, so they wouldn't blend in with the white on his suit.
