Name: Nyssa Saunders
Nickname(s): Nyss
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Godly Parent: Hormes. Not Hermes, HORMES
Birthday: April 3rd
Good Traits: She gets excited over the smallest things, she's overly cheerful, enthusiastic, humble, and affectionate. She has no problem sharing her thoughts, or speaking in public, and has strong nerves.
Bad Traits: Nyssa's everything but laid back. She's not one for change, very reckless, and has next to no before or after-thought. Very impulsive and unfocussed, and a bit careless to how her actions might effect others, or herself, and because of this, she's not good at working with a team.
Likes: Nyssa enjoys sports, especially track and field. She loves sweets and candy, the feel of warm fleece during winter snowstorms, and camp fires. Nyssa also loves bugs, and anything that has more than four legs. When she was younger, she had a pet tarantula.
Dislikes: Nyssa hates jeans with a passion; she doesn't like the way the fabric rubs against her legs. People who make out at the back of the school bus, paper cuts, having uneven strings on her sweaters and jackets, and dogs. She has a fear of dogs (especially hell hounds.)
Hobbies: She's on the track and field team at her school, participating in the 800, 3 000 and 5 000 meter dash, as well as hurdles. Her long legs help her get over those puppies pretty easily. She also enjoys playing hockey, but not on a team; she prefers just shooting around a public pond.
Fears: Hell hounds, and basically anything from the Underworld.
Strengths: She has great evasiveness, and is good at dodging attacks,
Weaknesses: She has horrible dexterity; can't wield a weapon very well, which makes it hard to fight offensively, so she usually just relies on avoiding hits, and wearing her enemies out (Ironic, seeing as in the context of war, hormê was a violent foreword movement of attack)
Special Powers/Abilities: As Hormes is the God of impulse, energetic activity, and setting oneself in motion, (or starting an action,) his kids take ADHD to a whole new level. They seemingly never tire out. Nyssa can run for hours and hours on end, before she begins to feel fatigue. As a side effect though, she's always moving. Always. She is literally unable to stay still. Even in her sleep, she moves around.
Ambition/Life-long Dream: Nyssa wants to be a professional athlete someday; she wants to participate in the Olympics somehow.
Best Classes: Gym
Worst Classes: Everything else. Her inability to sit still makes learning a very difficult task
Mother: Michelle Saunders.
Nyssa's mother loves her, but finds her hard to take care of, which is the main reason why she was sent to Camp Half-Blood. Nyssa's very close to her mom; the two of them take walks together every morning around their neighborhood. Nyssa tries to encourage Michelle dating again, but she's stubborn.
Father: Hormes.
Nyssa was, to put it as lightly as possible, pissed that her father didn't claim her until it was law. She spent three years in the Hermes cabin, wondering who her godly parent was. Her and her two half-brothers have still yet to meet him face to face, but despite this, Nyssa eventually warms up to him; or at least the idea of his existence.
Sibling(s):
Michael Saunders-
Nyssa's older human half-brother. He's a bit of a nerd, and separates himself from Nyssa and her mom, spending most of his time in his room on his computer. Michelle adopted him when he was ten. He's very protective over Nyssa, and feels it's his responsibility to make her choices, as in his opinion, she's unable to make responsible ones of her own. Sending her to Camp Half-Blood every summer is very hard on him.
Nicholas Hiltz-
Nyssa's younger demigod half-brother. On his 13th birthday, after he was claimed, he tried to show his parents, but because of the mist, they only thought he was hallucinating. Of course after Nick realized he was different, monsters started coming after him, and he was taken to Camp-Half Blood.
Stephan Slaton-
Nyssa's older demigod half-brother. Stephan's very hostile towards their father, as he spent five years of his life in the Hermes cabin, not knowing where he really belonged. His mother had to give him up when he was seven, because he was too much to handle, so he spent the next four years in a boys home. When hew as eleven, he ran away, and ended up coming across a Mormo, who said he was a bad kid for running away (and wanted to bite him of course.) He was rescued by a satyr, and taken to CHB, where he's been ever since.
Best Friend(s): She likes hanging out with the Hermes cabin, even after she was claimed. She doesn't have one best friend in particular
Crush(es): No one, at the moment
Rivals/Enemies: The Athena cabin. She envies how good they are at everything, and feels the need to prove that she's just as good as they are.
Magical Item(s): Her wrist warmers are made from the hide of Leviathan, an everlasting material, able to deflect celestial bronze.
Body Type/Looks: She has a bananna figure, with long red hair, always kept in a pony tail, green eyes, and lightly tanned skin. Her neck is long, as well as her legs and arms.
Height: 5'6
Weight: 129lbs
Everyday Outfit(s): When she's at Camp, her orange t-shirt of course, and shorts made of various fabrics, other than jeans. During the rest of the year, she usually has a brightly coloured top, with cargo pants. She always has her wrist warmers on.
Theme Song: "You Get What You Give" - New Radicals
Quote: "Yesturday, today was tomorrow, but tomorrow, today is yesterday! So what does that make yesturday, tomorrow?"
I really like how you made her a daughter of a minor god too, plus I think she's pretty cool.
I like how you used a minor less well-known god as her parent.
I have a son of Hermes, a son of Iris, a daughter of Hecate, a son of Hypnos and a daughter of Demeter. I have more but they're more minor than the others.
I now have two daughers of Erebos.
